On.TMS for home-based hospital treatments

After the industry sector, the Sapio Group has decided to make use of the On.TMS software by the ONIT Group for its health division.

Sapio Life, which as a partner of the National Health Service in Italy manages home care and hospital services, will use the software to manage vehicles and deliveries nationwide, obtaining two important advantages:

• Automatic Journey Planning: On.TMS optimises routes, manages drivers and vehicle fleets. It is integrated with the on-board terminalsto monitor the progress of deliveries, for every single vehicle, in real time.
• Assigning urgent extra deliveries: by monitoring each single driver’s deliveries, the software can plan any extra deliveries that might be needed on the basis of a driver’s work schedule and the area being served. The result is the optimised management of urgent requirements based on the real-time situation of the vehicles already en route and a reduction in the number of telephone calls to drivers.
