A technical meeting entitled ‘From the greenhouse to the model: the DATI.METEO4.0 digital system takes shape’ was held yesterday, Tuesday 21 April, at Macfrut in Rimini, hosted at the Emilia-Romagna Region’s stand.
Among the key speakers at the session was Matteo Mancini of OnitAnalytics, who outlined the potential of On.Leaf, the company’s digital platform dedicated to the agri-food sector.
The focus of his presentation was the platform’s ability to facilitate the collection, management and analysis of real-time weather data – an increasingly critical factor in a context of climate change that exposes crops to growing risks.
The aim? To use AI to anticipate risk scenarios such as late frosts or adverse weather conditions, providing farmers and supply chain operators with practical tools to intervene promptly and reduce losses.
