Among the objectives of the Alma Mater Studiorum of Bologna is the so-called “Third Mission”, which consists in using its knowledge to create value and development with and for the territory.
And it is precisely along these lines that ‘Data Cooperatives’ was born, a project that analyses how this new model is capable of boosting the entrepreneurial fabric in the digital economy and, at the same time, spreading a greater culture of data valorisation, according to the logic of digital mutualism and with respect for the fundamental rights of the individual.
A project, conceived, desired and coordinated by Prof. Avv. Fabio Bravo of Unibo, whose first results were presented on 28 June during the conference "Data cooperatives. The statute, the valorisation and evaluation of data, the performance of activities" , which was attended by all the Partners and other stakeholders involved in various capacities in the activities.
Onit had the pleasure and honour of being a partner in the project and, in the person of Vladimiro Buda, COO of the Analytics Area, intervened during the event with a speech entitled “Building a Data Platform for Data Cooperatives and Related Technological Solutions with a focus on Integration, Anonymisation and Responsible Data Use”.
The speech provided a full understanding of how a Data Platform Cooperative represents a secure technological environment to collaboratively manage and utilise shared data.
It also confirmed Onit's commitment to support the formation of Data Platforms for Data Cooperatives with the right technological solutions, thus helping to spread a vision of data as a common good, to be shared and used responsibly for the collective benefit.
