The Pieri Group is one of the leading companies in the supply of products and services for hygiene, comfort and professional cleaning.
Founded in 1979 as a family business for the paper and detergent trade, it has grown steadily over time, now ranking 2ⁿᵈ in Italy in terms of turnover in the hospitality and food service industry sector and 1ˢᵗ in terms of organisation and innovation.
In 2024, it inaugurated a new, state-of-the-art office in Cesena extending some 17,500 square metres, of which over 6,000 were used as warehouses and 2,500 as offices.

New headquarters, new network
In conjunction with the opening of the new headquarters, Pieri Group was faced with the need to develop its network and Wi-Fi infrastructure from scratch.
Reliable, fast and secure infrastructure was needed, capable of ensuring total coverage and advanced protection for both offices and a warehouse dedicated to the storage of goods

In addition to guaranteeing the necessary security, the main challenge was to ensure adequate segmentation between the office and operational networks, so as to ensure complete and high-performance Wi-Fi coverage in all areas, including critical spaces such as the warehouse.
To achieve its objectives, Onit Sistemi has adopted a series of technological solutions, namely:
- Fortinet Security Fabric - implementation of this technology to obtain integrated and manageable protection of the entire network, improving security, reliability and performance
- Network and Technology Operations (OT) Protection - adoption of dedicated solutions for the security of technology operations, including the implementation of VLANs for advanced protection against threats and vulnerabilities
- Complete Wi-Fi Coverage - installation of high-efficiency Wi-Fi systems to ensure total coverage and optimise connectivity and performance both in the office area and in the warehouse
